DC CONCEALED PISTOL LICENSE

DC Concealed Pistol License Course - 16-hour Training Course

This course is conducted by certified District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department Instructors.

This is a 16-hour training course with mandatory live-fire range training qualification.
Day 1: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Day 2: 9:00am - 2:00pm

This course exceeds the minimum training requirements for the DC Concealed Pistol License.

PART-I (In-Person):
Objectives:
- Firearm Safety
- Pistol Parts, Operation & Maintenance
- Basics of Pistol Shooting
- Concealed Carry & Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
- The Ethical Use of Deadly Force 

PART-II (Virtual eCourse): 
Objectives:
- DC Laws on Firearms and Self-Defense
- Permit Application Process

 PART III:
1-on-1 Live-Fire Range Training & Qualification*
This course requires the completion of at least two hours range training, including a shooting qualification course of fifty rounds of ammunition from a maximum distance of fifteen yards, and receiving a qualifying score of at least 70%.

DMV CARRY’s DC Concealed Pistol License Training Course is conducted by NRA and USCCA Certified Instructors who have been approved by the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police and Utah Department of Public Safety to conduct and certify their firearms training curriculum.

Upon successful completion of this course, student will receive:
1 – District of Columbia Concealed Carry Pistol License Course Completion Certificate
2 – Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Training Certificate

There are no prerequisites for this training. You do not need to own a firearm to attend this course.

Handguns are available to use for qualification if you do not own one. If you do have your own firearm, you are welcome (and encouraged) to bring it. 

Exact classroom location will be released to registered students only.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO LIVE AMMUNITION allowed during the classroom portion of training.

You must be legally able to possess a firearm with valid government photo ID to attend this course. 

Fingerprints and state application fees are not included in class price.
